Medical Treatment Assistance Application Process
Financial assistance from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF)
is provided to eligible patients suffering from serious diseases and
requiring treatment at recognized government hospitals.
Eligibility
Patient belongs to an economically weaker section.
Treatment is required for serious diseases.
Treatment is being taken in a recognized Government or approved hospital.
Required Documents
Application addressed to the Prime Minister.
Medical certificate from the treating doctor.
Estimated treatment cost.
Income certificate.
Aadhaar Card.
Address proof.
Hospital admission documents.
Recent passport-size photograph.
Bank account details (if required).
Application Process
Collect all required documents.
Obtain a treatment estimate from the hospital.
Write an application requesting financial assistance.
Attach all supporting documents.
Submit the application through the hospital or the District Collector/State Government, as applicable.
The PMNRF office reviews the application.
If approved, financial assistance is released directly to the hospital.
Note: Approval depends on eligibility, document verification,
and PMNRF guidelines. In many cases, funds are paid directly to the hospital
rather than to the applicant.
