How to Apply for Birth Certificate Online

Step 1

Visit CRS Portal for Birth Certificate Visit CRS Portal

Important:Birth certificate registeration through CRS portal is open for registration of birth and death events that occurred in the States/UTs of ‘Chandigarh’, ‘Chhattisgarh’, ‘Andaman & Nicobar Islands’, ‘Lakshadweep‘, ‘Arunachal Pradesh’, ‘Nagaland’, ‘Meghalaya’, ‘Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu’, ‘Andhra Pradesh’, ‘Mizoram’, ‘Assam’, ‘Madhya Pradesh’, ‘Tripura’, ‘Uttarakhand’, ‘Bihar’, ‘Uttar Pradesh’, ‘Ladakh’, ‘Maharashtra’, ‘Sikkim’, ‘Haryana’, ‘Jammu and Kashmir’, ‘Himachal Pradesh’, ‘Jharkhand’ , ‘Manipur’, 'Gujarat', 'Puducherry', 'Delhi Cantonment Board' and 'Goa' only.

Step 2

Create a new account or log in using your registered mobile number or email address.

Step 3

Select the option "Birth Certificate Registration" or "Apply for Birth Certificate".

Step 4

Fill in the required information such as:

Upload the required documents in the prescribed format (PDF/JPG/PNG).

Step 6

Review all the information carefully before submitting the application.

Step 7

If an application fee is applicable, complete the online payment using UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Step 8

Submit the application and save or print the acknowledgement receipt and application/reference number.

How to Download Birth Certificate

Step 1

Visit the same official Birth & Death Registration portal where you submitted the application.

Step 2

Click on "Download Birth Certificate" or "Search Certificate".

Step 3

Enter the required details such as:

Verify the details and click on Download Certificate.

Step 5

Your Birth Certificate will be downloaded in PDF format (if available online).
